Jovani

(Jovani beaded prom dress* - Wish Want Wear, shoes - JustFab)

It's that time of year again where every school/college leaver are attending prom, leavers ball, awards evenings and so on and I myself is attending my college's awards evening and there's nothing more exciting than wearing the perfect dress for that once in a lifetime event.

And so I was very happy when Wish Want Wear contacted me to lend me a dress. The website is full of designer dresses from the likes of Herve Leger to Jovani and many more. What's amazing about the website is that they let you hire these elegant and extravagant dresses for much less than the price of the actual dress 'cause let's be honest we're not a Kardashian so it's ever unlikely to wear let alone own a designer dress  but Wish Want Wear lets you have the chance to wear them for 4 or 8 days, your choice.

If that's not convincing enough, they even let you try it before you hire it since we all know how online shopping can be tricky especially if it's for an important event like prom. And when you're done with the dress you just send it back to an already pre-paid postage bag that they provide and voila! best night of your life with the best dress done.

I chose this dress for my event since the theme of the event is 'prom' and nothing screams prom more than beading and puffy dress.

Hope you all have a good event if you're going to one lovelies and if not, have a good weekend :) xo

tbt: Shirts and Blouses

I'm a big fan of shirts and blouses as you can see from all these previous outfits (click for the link underneath to go to the past posts and to find out where I got the items from).

Shirts and blouses are good staple pieces to have in a wardrobe since you can pretty much wear them with anything from jeans to shorts to skirts and as you can see my favourite is to pair it with skirts. A skirt and a blouse with a good pair of shoes is pretty much my staple outfit. It can be girly with heels and toned down with flats and this summer I'm even more embracing that style, my girly comfort zone (which I will step out of again sometime in the future :)) And of course, you can also have those basic shirts and blouses that you can transition from summer to winter and wear with everything.

So in honour of shirts and blouses, I have made this polyvore of my favourites from Persunmall that I would pretty much love from to have in my wardrobe and thinking of purchasing in the future. The website has a load of different styles that are not only on trend but also really really stylish from girly to basic, floral to monochrome and so much more. Check them out here.

the skort

(hat & socks - Topshop, floral crop top - River Island, blue skort - Zara, cut-out boots - New Look)

Here are the last ootd photos I took from our old house and the last you'll see of this garden background but behold as we have now more greenery down here so it won't be long until you see more green :)

Anyway, I wore this outfit for my leaving party with my friends and got the crop top and shoes with the voucher I got from college (it was like a college going away gift haha).
Oh and unless you live under a rock, you will have noticed the famous skort. I finally nabbed myself a pair but in blue instead of the white or black ones that everyone blogger and their mother and dogs have.

I actually was looking for the white one when I first went into Zara, couldn't find it and ended up getting a bag and then on my way out saw it and thought it was a skirt, a very mini mini skirt so I left the store without it then fast forward to a few days later I read a blog post where the blogger was wearing the white skort version and saw that it said 'skort' so then on another trip to town I especially went out of my way to go into Zara and check if they still had them and alas they of course sold out in my size for the white and black skort so I had to settle for the blue one which isn't so bad thinking about it now since I am still on my blue obsession phase plus I think it suited well with the crop top anyway.

Double fast forward to now, I have seen a lot of other online shops selling the exact same skort now like Choies so maybe I can get a white pair soon if Zara has sold out on them, I have not checked but at least I know there's more places I can get them now. That's my long story about this skort anyway.

Have a good weekend lovelies :) xx
